Our mosaics start with tiles: enamel onglazes fired at 800 c. allow a full spectrum of colours not available in commercial ranges - the brushwork, spongeing and sgraffiti give both depth and complexity, impossible with factory tiles or tesserae. The liveliness and movement of the overall composition is echoed at a different level when viewed close up.

Les effets du pinceau, de l'éponge, et du sgraffito produisent un profondeur et un complexité impossible à trouver parmi les tesserae ou les carraux d' usines. La vivacité et le mouvement de l'oeuvre se répétent en gros plan.

Les commandes spéciales ont spécifié des emaux rares: 'lustres iridescents' composées d'or, du titanium, ou le cuivre et les pierres semi-précieux comme l'émeraud, l'opale, ou la nacre meulée.
